Nick Quain

Nick Quain is CEO and co-founder of CellWand Communications where he is responsible for the company’s strategic vision, in addition to product strategy, strategic alliances, media relations and negotiating all wireless carrier relationships. CellWand’s principle product, #TAXI (Pound Taxi) is one of the most successful mobile applications in North America, with over 5 million calls in Canada alone, and now available in the US market. In 2010, CellWand was named as one of the top 10 Technology companies by the Canada Top 10 Competition, and in 2008 CellWand was also named one of Canada’s Hottest 20 Innovation Companies by the Canadian Innovation Exchange. Nick is a highly accomplished sales, marketing and business executive with tremendous experience in the development, deployment, sale and strategic marketing of consumer-centric technology applications. He is recognized internationally as an entrepreneurial leader who gets the job done with a unique combination of strengths in technology, sales and marketing, corporate development and strategic planning. In 2003, he was named to the Ottawa Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40 and has been a judge for the same award for the past six years.

Mr. Quain graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing at the University of Ottawa in 1993. In 2009, Nick received the Young Achievers Alumni Award from the Telfer School of Management.
