Yves Bastien

During a successful career in the Canadian Navy which included command of two ships; HMCS CHALEUR and HMCS HALIFAX and service as Canada's military representative to the Coalition Naval Forces in Bahrain, Yves completed his service in the prestigeous post of Director Operations and Security for the Governor General of Canada.

Yves is now fully immersed in international business, management and leadership as the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of AeroShapes Inc, a boutique aerospace consulting and program integration firm. Current clients include the Government of a South-East Asian nation in an acquisition program valued over $100M.

Yves volunteers his time on the Board of Directors of the Montreal Soaring Council, a non-profit organization which promotes soaring. Yves also volunteers as a flight instructor.

Yves was appointed as a Member of the Royal Victorian Order by HM The Queen in 1997.  He was was awarded the South-West Asia Service Medal with "Afghanistan" bar for operational service in 2005 -2006.
