Sebastien Dignard, BCom
President, Framos Technologies Inc. - Ottawa, ON, Canada

Sebastien Dignard

Sebastien Dignard graduated from the Telfer School of Management in 2000 with a Bachelor of Commerce with option in International Management. He said that it was important to him to be able to study in both English and French, which is one main reason why he chose to study at Telfer. Sebastien said that his program – especially courses in Strategic Management – prepared him for a career in international business and gave him the creative and analytical foundation needed to help local high tech companies grow their revenue and market share on a global scale.

After receiving his Bachelor's degree, Sebastien began working with local high tech companies owned by business magnate and entrepreneur Terry Mathews, followed by other high tech companies such as Satcom, Identity Assurance SW and Imaging.

In June 2014, Sebastien became President of FRAMOS Technologies Inc. The company specializes in Imaging Technology solutions that enable the cognitive systems revolution by helping make machines see and think.

Sebastien says that the School not only broadened his horizons but also showed him the importance of always staying connected and giving back to the community. Over the years, Sebastien has stayed connected with the Telfer School through the Mentorship Program. This has enabled him to give back to the community by contributing to the professional development of a new generation of Telfer students.

Sebastien was recently named a 2017 Forty Under 40 recipient by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce. This award is one of Ottawa's most prestigious awards, recognizing accomplished and rising business leaders in Ottawa under the age of 40.

When asked what inspires him, Sebastien gave credit to his team: "In 2017, FRAMOS Technologies was named one of Ottawa's fastest growing companies, with a growth rate of 3963%. You can’t successfully achieve these results without a team of positive, resourceful professionals who excel at business and technology innovation."
