Gabriela Golumbovici

Being a part of the Telfer MBA program helped Gabriela Golumbovici to branch out and experience working with different people in all aspects of life. As Gabriela says; “The MBA program’s focus on group work is very helpful in pushing you out of your comfort zone”, and it made it easier for Gabriela to make valuable connections during her time in university, as well as after she graduated.

Gabriela chose the University of Ottawa for its unique cultural opportunities and the ability to explore both Québec and Ontario. Gabriela used her free time during her studies to explore the city of Ottawa and to become immersed in its cultures and traditions.

As the creator of the collection of magazines Gildshire, Gabriela has learned to overcome challenges in her career and to draw inspiration from those she looks up to, specifically other successful entrepreneurs in media. Gabriela believes that the relationships and connections that professors at Telfer took the time to make with her is what made her experience in the MBA program so memorable, and part of the reason she was able to take a chance on starting her own business and pursue her passion.
