Anie Rouleau

Born in Montreal in 1969, Ms. Rouleau comes from a family of entrepreneurs: her mother owned a paint and wallpaper store, and her father was the president and founder of Hydrocom International.

After joining the family business in 1993, Ms. Rouleau worked her way to the role of executive vice-president two years later. The following year, she left to found Hydrocom USA in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2000, the entire family business was sold to MacLean Power Systems, and she took over as President of Maclean Power Systems Canada, and then as President of the Société de Gestion du Commensal Inc., held by the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation.

Trilingual (French, English, Spanish), Ms. Rouleau sits on a number of boards of directors and advisory boards, including for the Quebec Electric Industry Association and the Montérégie National Bank. Business associations regularly invite her to be a guest speaker, and she is a recipient of the Young Achiever's Award honouring the excellence of young graduates from the University of Ottawa, where she earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in Finance. There she has launched the Anie Rouleau International Exchange Scholarship, which helps students fund their education while studying abroad.

Currently, Ms. Rouleau is the Founder and CEO of Baleco, a business offering environmentally friendly products and services to companies concerned about their employees' well-being and the future of the environment. As the mother of two young children (ages 5 and 7), her work is guided by two deeply held convictions: support for sustainable development policies and respect for the heritage of future generations.
