Chetan Baweja graduated Cum Laude from the Telfer School of Management in 2008 with a BCom in Finance. Chetan made the Dean’s Honour List in his graduating year. During his time at the Telfer School, Chetan co-founded the student club Managers Without Borders after returning from an international exchange at Lund University. The founders were eager to promote the value of their international experience to students at the Telfer School of Management. The club hoped to connect local students with the resources and knowledge to compete and succeed within the global business environment.
To date, the club has become a dynamic, exciting, and international club of the Telfer School. Globally-minded Telfer students have various opportunities to participate in networking sessions, worldwide case competitions and exciting events where they can establish connections with management exchange students from around the world.
Mr. Baweja also completed a two year Financial Management Program at General Electric. Within the program, Chetan completed a 1 year rotation in GE Capital Real Estate and in GE Energy where he joined the Asset Management team doing large debt restructuring and commercial real estate valuations.
Chetan Baweja is currently working in Mergers & Acquisitions for the Real Estate business program at General Electric as an Associate Director. His team works on Global mergers and acquisition transactions and they help to formulate and implement the business Debt and Equity strategies. The team closed over $4 Billion worth of transactions in 2012.
