Hugh is very proud of GGFL’s involvement with the Telfer School of Management and will endeavor to work closely with the University faculty in pursuit of educational excellence and potential career opportunities at GGFL.
"I don’t know where GGFL would be without the Telfer School of Management. The University’s accounting co-op program has and will continue to be a valued source for our future CAs and CPAs."
A graduate of the Telfer School in 1983, Hugh Faloon obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in September 1986, his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in February 1998, and became a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) in 2000.
Although Hugh’s main role is partner in Tax & Advisory Services division, he also heads up GGFL’s "Medical Team" and marketing group. His expertise includes personal, corporate, trust, and estate tax planning; as well as business advice to small- to medium-sized owner managed businesses in various industries, including medical and dental healthcare, and residential and commercial real estate.
Hugh strongly believes in giving back to the community. He is currently involved with the Canadian Africa Community Health Alliance (CACHA) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and was one of the co-founders of The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, Leaders-4-Life Program.
Hugh has written many tax-related articles, which can be found on GGFL’s Blog (www.ggfl.ca) or his LinkedIn profile.
