Hubert joined the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) after graduating in 2004 from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, where he participated in the Co-operative Education Program (CO-OP) and received a Bachelor of Commerce.
Following a series of successful CO-OP placements at the Canadian International Development Agency, Hubert began working full-time at the Agency in 2004, participating in re-shaping policy statements on the government's aid program, such as the renewal of Canada's aid policy statement.
Currently a Team Leader in the Statistical Analysis and Reporting Division of the Agency, Hubert is also the Canadian representative at the OECD on the Development Assistance Committee’s (DAC) Working Party on Development Finance Statistics. He has over 10 years of experience on aid reporting practises, his team producing most of the reports found on CIDA's open data website as well as reporting to the DAC on Canada's Official Development Assistance. Hubert is also part of a cross-functional team at CIDA, responsible for implementing the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standard – which aims to make information about aid spending easier to access, use and understand.
