Pamela Baxter, MBA
Owner, Cascadia Gluten-Free Foods - North Vancouver, BC, Canada

Pamela Baxter

Two years ago, after a career as a management consultant, Pamela started Cascadia Gluten-Free Foods.  Her impetus was her daughter who has celiac disease.

The company makes gluten-free granola, GF granola bars, GF nut-free granola, and GF NF granola bars.  The products are extraordinarily nutritious, providing 16% of daily protein, 15% of fibre and 12% of iron as well as loads of B vitamins and trace minerals.  They are easy to digest for those with delicate gastrointestinal systems.  They are safe for celiacs, made in a gluten-free inspected kitchen and lab-tested for gluten.  And they are delicious!

The products retail in stores in the Vancouver area, yoga studios, hotels and the odd farmers market (for instance the Granville Island Farmers Market on Thursdays).

Since graduating from the MBA she has lived in Ottawa; Cornwall, Ontario and Atlanta, Georgia.  She and her husband John Orr have lived in North Vancouver for the last six years.  Their son and daughter are launched.
