Stéphane Ouellet, BCom
Director, Business Management, CSO, Research In Motion - Waterloo, ON, Canada

Stéphane Ouellet

At Research in Motion (RIM), Stéphane is currently Director, Business Management for the Customer Support Operations (CSO) organization. He leads the teams that create and deliver business functions to RIM call centres worldwide, including service level management, contract management, governance, planning, dashboards and measurements.

Prior to RIM, Stéphane worked at the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) for over 8 years, first as an Administrative Resident in the Integrated Strategic Alliances and Networks Portfolio.  Then, as Business Manager in the Women’s and Children clinical services area, he provided operational leadership in the Medical Genetics portfolio, financial support for internal and external stakeholders, and project leadership on several provincial system improvement initiatives, particularly in paediatric oncology and telemedicine.

While still at LHSC in 2006, Stéphane became the first Director for the Regional Shared Services (RSS), implementing Digital Imaging, Electronic Patient Record, and Business Systems in participating hospital sites throughout Southwestern Ontario.  He was responsible for the service’s overall operations including strategic planning, financial management, service level agreements, system performance, vendor relations, and HR management.  In early 2009, RSS began supporting a vendor neutral Digital Imaging Repository (DI-r) that connects PACS systems from hospitals and medical centers throughout four Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs).  Once fully implemented, the DI-r stored and shared an annual increment of 3.2 million imaging exams on a complex architecture, at the time the first of its kind in North America, and 2nd instance worldwide.

Prior to LHSC, Stéphane started his IT career with a 5-year span at London Life, accomplishing various roles in technical support, training, and client/mainframe systems design and implementation.

Stéphane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Management Information Systems from the University of Ottawa, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

A native of Bathurst, New Brunswick, Stéphane currently lives in London, Ontario with his wife Tracy and their children Alex, Emma, and Sarah.
