Michael Runia

Michael is the Managing Partner for Deloitte in Ontario and has over 20 years of experience providing accounting, audit, tax and business advisory services to Canadian and U.S. private and public clients, having worked in Ottawa, Toronto and San Jose, California. Mike is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and U.S. Certified Public Accountant, who has extensive IFRS and US GAAP knowledge. He has significant experience in public company board reporting, has been actively involved in various financings both in the US and in Canada and assisting clients in initial public offerings and private financings; preparation of business plans and forecasts; and interpretation of accounting rules and regulations. As Managing Partner for Ontario, Mike has responsibility for Deloitte's nine office in the National Capital Region and throughout Southwestern Ontario - overseeing 1,000 employees and partners and assisting clients in a variety of service lines including; tax, consulting, audit, financial advisory and enterprise risk.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Ottawa.  In his spare time is very active with his wife and 2 boys - golfing, skiing and various other sports and recreational activities.
